Gouache & acrylic. 2017.  Inspired by the Statues of Marseille in Place de la Concorde in Paris, France.  She represents the fertile creativity found within newfound power.  Realizing and reasserting such power she ruthlessly claims what is rightfully owed.  Examining from within to discover the value beyond one's self.  Exalting relaxed action and swiftly moving past inhibitions.  Breaking free of chains and stepping onto newer and high ground.  No longer lingering to sway to others' opinions, no longer diluting reality to cushion others' emotions.  She walks on nails, through fire towards what is meant to be-to give birth to a new paradigm of living, creating, and loving.
